This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect on amotorbike.com, why we use it, how long we keep it and what you can decide. It applies to visitors, to people who create an account and to customers.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is ECM di Tacchi Alessandro, via Yuri Gagarin 169, 61122 Pesaro (PU), Italy, email info@amotorbike.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Order data: first and last name, shipping and billing addresses, email, phone number, products purchased. Payment data is handled by the payment providers: we never see or store card numbers.
  • Account data, if you create an account.
  • Email address and cart contents, if you enter your email at checkout and do not complete the order.
  • Your motorcycle and your Paddock preferences: the model we infer from the products you bought or that you choose in the vehicle selector, and your email choices.
  • Browsing data collected by cookies (see section 7).
  • The messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.

We do not collect special categories of data (health, opinions, etc.).

3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • Handling orders, payments, shipping, returns and customer service: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Bookkeeping and tax obligations: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • The Paddock, i.e. recognising your motorcycle to show you compatible parts and accessories (section 4): our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for account holders, a service you requested.
  • Emails to customers: if you have bought from us, we write to you about products and services similar to the ones you purchased (parts and accessories for your motorcycle, compatible new arrivals, seasonal offers): Article 130(4) of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Abandoned cart: a reminder about your cart and, only once, an email introducing the Paddock: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • General newsletter, if you subscribe: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), optional and revocable.
  • Analytics and advertising (Google, Meta, Microsoft): consent given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Website security and fraud prevention: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can say no to our emails at any time, free of charge and with one click: from the link at the bottom of every email, from your Paddock, or by writing to info@amotorbike.com. Once you say no, we stop writing to you about offers and new products; you will only receive emails about your orders.

Subscribing to the newsletter may give you a discount voucher. Subscribing is optional, and the voucher stays yours even if you unsubscribe later.

4. The Paddock: how we recognise your motorcycle

From the products you buy, or from the model you choose in the vehicle selector, we infer the make and model of your motorcycle. We use it to show you compatible parts and accessories and to choose what to write to you about. We infer nothing else, and no automated decisions with legal effects on you are made. In the Paddock you can confirm, change or delete your motorcycle, or delete the whole Paddock.

5. Purchases on eBay and other marketplaces

If you bought from us on eBay or another marketplace, we use your data only to handle that order: we do not send you marketing emails.

6. Who we share data with

Only with those we need to do our work, and each only for their part:

  • payment providers: Stripe, PayPal, Klarna;
  • couriers and shipping platforms, to deliver orders;
  • OVHcloud, which hosts the website and the mail servers our emails are sent from;
  • PrestaShop, our shop platform, and its related services;
  • Google, Meta and Microsoft, for analytics and advertising, only if you accept them in the cookie banner;
  • WhatsApp, if you write to us there;
  • our accountant and public authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your data.

7. Cookies and tracking tools

  • Technical cookies, always active because the website needs them: session, cart, language and the motorcycle chosen in the vehicle selector. The latter only contains a random code, no personal data.
  • Analytics and advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity): only if you accept them. You choose in the banner on your first visit and can change your mind at any time from the preferences icon at the bottom of the page.

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Google, Meta, Microsoft, PayPal, Stripe) may process data in the United States. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

9. How long we keep your data

  • Orders and tax documents: 10 years, as required by law.
  • Account: until you delete it.
  • Emails to customers and Paddock: until you say no, and in any case no longer than 24 months after your last purchase. After that, the inferred motorcycle is deleted and we stop writing to you.
  • Abandoned cart: we use your email for the reminder within the following 30 days and for one single introduction to the Paddock, then no more.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Cookies: for the period shown in the banner.

10. Your rights

At any time you can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format (portability) and object to its use, including for marketing emails and for the Paddock. If you gave your consent, you can withdraw it: this applies from that moment on. Write to info@amotorbike.com: we reply within one month.

If you think we are mishandling your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

11. Security

We protect your data with technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, loss and destruction. The website uses encrypted connections and payment data does not pass through our servers.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page, with the date of the update at the top.
